A continuación, presento el testimonio de Álvaro Morales Aguilera, quien junto a su hermana fue protagonista de una experiencia que, hasta el día de hoy, continúa desafiando toda explicación lógica. Ambos atravesaban un período particularmente complejo de sus vidas cuando fueron testigos de un fenómeno extraordinario que dejó una huella imborrable en sus recuerdos. Lo que observaron aquella noche sigue siendo motivo de preguntas y reflexión después de tantos años.
Era el año 1996, en la comuna de Maipú, Región Metropolitana de Santiago. En mi hogar estábamos viviendo momentos difíciles. Una tía padecía una enfermedad terminal, mi madre había debido abandonar su trabajo para dedicarse completamente a sus cuidados y, además, mi hermana estaba a punto de separarse de su primer matrimonio. El ambiente familiar era tenso y emocionalmente desgastante.
Debido a toda esta situación, decidimos realizar una descarga de la casa. Una vez finalizado el procedimiento, salimos al patio para dejar algunas cosas. Fue entonces cuando, al mirar hacia la cordillera, observé una luz en el cielo.
Ya era de noche, pero el firmamento se encontraba completamente despejado. No hacía frío y la visibilidad era excelente. Aquella luz llamó inmediatamente mi atención. Parecía desplazarse lentamente en dirección a nuestra casa, por lo que me quedé observándola con curiosidad. Mi hermana ya había entrado nuevamente al interior de la vivienda.
A medida que la luz se acercaba, comenzó a distinguirse mejor su forma. No era una simple luz distante. Podía apreciarse que tenía una apariencia circular y que se desplazaba de manera errática, realizando movimientos similares a un zigzag. De pronto, en cuestión de segundos, llegó prácticamente sobre nuestra propiedad. Dentro de aquella estructura circular podían distinguirse otras luces más pequeñas que parecían encontrarse en su interior. Fue en ese momento cuando comprendí que lo que estaba observando tenía la apariencia de un disco.
Llamé inmediatamente a mi hermana y le grité que trajera la cámara fotográfica. Ella salió apresurada y, al preguntarme qué sucedía, levantó la vista hacia el cielo. Al divisar el objeto, corrió nuevamente al interior de la casa para buscar la cámara.
Cuando regresó, el disco se encontraba prácticamente sobre nuestras cabezas. Ambos quedamos paralizados. Estaba tan cerca que podíamos observarlo con gran nivel de detalle. Se trataba de una estructura luminosa con forma de disco que giraba sobre su propio eje. En su interior podían verse luces de distintos colores que parecían moverse de manera coordinada. La impresión que nos causó fue enorme.
Mi hermana alcanzó a tomar dos o tres fotografías, las últimas que quedaban disponibles en el rollo de la cámara. Como era habitual en aquella época, los teléfonos celulares no contaban con cámaras integradas y, además, nosotros ni siquiera teníamos teléfono móvil.
El objeto permaneció detenido sobre nosotros durante varios minutos. Quiero enfatizar que estaba literalmente encima de nuestras cabezas. No emitía ningún sonido perceptible y parecía mantenerse suspendido con absoluta estabilidad. Después de un tiempo, emprendió el regreso siguiendo exactamente la misma trayectoria por la que había llegado.
Tras su partida, permanecimos en silencio y profundamente impactados. No volvimos a hablar del tema durante bastante tiempo.
Debo señalar que siempre he sido un estudioso de la fenomenología OVNI, la parapsicología y otros temas relacionados. Por ello, podría pensarse que mi interés previo pudo influir en mi percepción. Sin embargo, mi hermana nunca había creído en los ovnis ni en fenómenos similares. Aun así, ella observó exactamente lo mismo que yo.
Lo más frustrante ocurrió días después. Cuando llevamos el rollo fotográfico a revelar, descubrimos que las últimas fotografías habían salido completamente veladas. Como consecuencia, no quedó ningún registro gráfico de lo sucedido. Lo único que permanece hasta hoy son nuestros recuerdos y los testimonios de quienes estuvimos allí aquella noche: mi hermana Claudia y yo, Álvaro Morales Aguilera.

Below is the testimony of Álvaro Morales Aguilera, who, together with his sister, experienced an event that continues to defy logical explanation to this day. Both were going through a particularly difficult period in their lives when they witnessed an extraordinary phenomenon that left a lasting impression on their memories. What they observed that night remains a source of questions and reflection even after so many years.
It was the year 1996, in the district of Maipú, Metropolitan Region of Santiago. At home, we were going through difficult times. An aunt was suffering from a terminal illness, my mother had been forced to leave her job to care for her full-time, and my sister was on the verge of separating from her first husband. The family atmosphere was tense and emotionally exhausting.
Because of this situation, we decided to perform a spiritual cleansing of the house. Once the procedure was completed, we went out into the backyard to put away some items. That was when, looking toward the Andes Mountains, I noticed a light in the sky.
It was already nighttime, but the sky was completely clear. It was not cold, and visibility was excellent. The light immediately caught my attention. It seemed to be moving slowly toward our house, so I stood watching it with curiosity. My sister had already gone back inside the house.
As the light drew closer, its shape became easier to distinguish. It was not just a distant light. I could make out that it had a circular appearance and was moving erratically, making zigzag-like maneuvers. Suddenly, within seconds, it arrived almost directly above our property. Inside that circular structure, I could see other smaller lights that appeared to be contained within it. It was at that moment that I realized what I was looking at resembled a disc.
I immediately called for my sister and shouted for her to bring the camera. She rushed outside and, when she asked what was happening, she looked up at the sky. Upon seeing the object, she ran back inside the house to get the camera.
When she returned, the disc was practically above our heads. Both of us were frozen in place. It was so close that we could observe it in great detail. It was a luminous, disc-shaped structure rotating on its own axis. Inside it, lights of different colors could be seen moving in a coordinated manner. The impression it made on us was enormous.
My sister managed to take two or three photographs, the last exposures remaining on the camera roll. As was common at the time, mobile phones did not have built-in cameras, and in fact, we did not even own a cell phone.
The object remained stationary above us for several minutes. I want to emphasize that it was literally overhead. It emitted no perceptible sound and appeared to remain suspended with absolute stability. After some time, it departed, following exactly the same route by which it had arrived.
After it left, we remained silent and deeply shaken. We did not speak about the event again for quite a long time.
I should point out that I have always been a student of UFO phenomena, parapsychology, and other related subjects. Because of that, some might think that my prior interest influenced my perception. However, my sister had never believed in UFOs or similar phenomena. Even so, she saw exactly the same thing that I did.
The most frustrating part happened days later. When we took the film roll to be developed, we discovered that the final photographs had come out completely overexposed. As a result, no visual record of the event remained. The only thing that survives today is our memory of what happened and the testimony of those who were there that night: my sister Claudia and I, Álvaro Morales Aguilera.
