El cantautor chileno Carlos Blais compartió con nosotros una experiencia ocurrida en septiembre de 2018, cuando llevaba apenas unas semanas viviendo en un nuevo departamento. El episodio tuvo lugar durante una visita familiar, en una tarde que, hasta ese momento, transcurría con absoluta normalidad.

Lo sucedido quedó vinculado a un registro obtenido aquel día y, con el paso del tiempo, adquirió un significado especial para Carlos dentro de una serie de experiencias personales que decidió compartir para dejar constancia de lo vivido. Su relato nos traslada a esos primeros días en su nuevo hogar y a un período que terminaría recordando de una manera muy distinta.

Esa foto fue tomada el miércoles 19 de septiembre de 2018, alrededor de las cinco de la tarde, en un departamento en el que llevaba apenas un par de semanas viviendo. Mi familia había ido a visitarme porque hacía un par de meses que no los veía, y la idea era precisamente que pudieran conocer mi nuevo hogar y compartir un momento conmigo.

Durante su estadía tomamos varias fotografías. En ellas aparece mi familia y, en principio, todo se veía completamente normal. No habíamos notado nada extraño mientras estábamos ahí ni tampoco al momento de tomar las fotografías. Sin embargo, en la última imagen apareció algo que llamó profundamente mi atención: al fondo se puede observar una figura que yo identifico como un ser extraterrestre.

Personalmente, no creo que se trate de un fantasma. A pesar de que creo en la existencia de los fantasmas, cuando observo esa fotografía y particularmente la figura que aparece al fondo, mi impresión es diferente. Por su aspecto y por lo que representa para mí dentro de todo lo que estaba viviendo en aquella época, yo la identifico como un extraterrestre.

Durante aquellas semanas había estado viviendo solo en el departamento, antes de que llegara a vivir conmigo quien era mi novia en ese entonces. En ese período me estaba ocurriendo algo que también recuerdo con claridad: no podía dormir bien. Durante las noches sentía ansiedad y, además, tenía sueños relacionados con ovnis.

No era solamente una noche aislada. Esa sensación comenzó a formar parte de lo que estaba experimentando durante aquellos días. Había noches en las que me costaba descansar y los sueños relacionados con ovnis se repetían, algo que terminó llamando mi atención, especialmente por lo que ocurriría después.

En los días siguientes comencé a experimentar nuevamente una fuerte sensación de ansiedad, particularmente durante la noche, aproximadamente entre las nueve y las doce. Junto con esa ansiedad sentía una necesidad muy particular de mirar hacia afuera, como si tuviera que acercarme a la ventana o salir hacia el balcón para observar lo que estaba ocurriendo en el exterior.

Fue precisamente siguiendo esa sensación que comencé a mirar hacia afuera.

Y fue así como vi las luces.

No ocurrió solamente una vez. En distintas oportunidades pude observarlas y también decidí registrarlas. Grabé varias de esas luces y tomé fotografías, porque quería conservar evidencia de aquello que estaba viendo.

Esos registros todavía los mantengo conmigo. Conservo tanto fotografías como videos de las luces que observé durante aquellos días.

Por eso, cuando pienso en la fotografía tomada aquel 2018, no puedo separarla completamente de las demás cosas que estaban ocurriendo durante ese período de mi vida: las dificultades para dormir, la ansiedad que sentía durante las noches, los sueños relacionados con ovnis, aquella necesidad de mirar hacia la ventana o dirigirme al balcón y, posteriormente, las luces que pude observar, fotografiar y grabar.

Todo eso ocurrió dentro de un período relativamente cercano.

Y aquella fotografía quedó ahí, como parte de esa experiencia.

Una fotografía familiar que, al momento de ser tomada, parecía completamente normal, pero en la que posteriormente descubrimos aquella extraña figura al fondo.

Para mí, lo que aparece allí tiene la apariencia de un ser extraterrestre.

Chilean singer-songwriter Carlos Blais shared with us an experience that took place in September 2018, when he had been living in a new apartment for only a few weeks. The incident occurred during a family visit, on an afternoon that, until then, had been unfolding completely normally.

What happened became connected to a photograph taken that day and, over time, took on a special significance for Carlos as part of a series of personal experiences he decided to share in order to leave a record of what he had lived through. His account takes us back to those first days in his new home and to a period he would eventually remember in a very different way.

That photo was taken on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at around five in the afternoon, in an apartment I had only been living in for a couple of weeks. My family had come to visit me because I hadn’t seen them for a couple of months, and the idea was for them to see my new home and spend some time with me.

During their visit, we took several photographs. My family appears in them and, at first, everything looked completely normal. We hadn’t noticed anything unusual while we were there, nor when the photographs were taken. However, something appeared in the last image that deeply caught my attention: in the background, you can see a figure that I identify as an extraterrestrial being.

Personally, I don’t believe it is a ghost. Although I do believe in the existence of ghosts, when I look at that photograph, and particularly at the figure appearing in the background, my impression is different. Because of its appearance and what it represents to me in the context of everything I was experiencing at that time, I identify it as an extraterrestrial.

During those weeks, I had been living alone in the apartment, before the person who was my girlfriend at the time moved in with me. During that period, something else was happening to me that I also remember clearly: I couldn’t sleep well. At night, I felt anxious, and I was also having dreams related to UFOs.

It wasn’t just one isolated night. That feeling began to become part of what I was experiencing during those days. There were nights when I struggled to rest, and the UFO-related dreams kept recurring, something that eventually caught my attention, especially because of what would happen afterward.

In the days that followed, I began experiencing a strong sense of anxiety again, particularly at night, roughly between nine o’clock and midnight. Along with that anxiety, I felt a very particular urge to look outside, as though I needed to go to the window or step out onto the balcony to see what was happening outside.

It was precisely by following that feeling that I began looking outside.

And that was when I saw the lights.

It didn’t happen only once. I was able to observe them on several different occasions, and I also decided to document them. I recorded several of those lights and took photographs because I wanted to preserve evidence of what I was seeing.

I still have those recordings with me. I have kept both photographs and videos of the lights I observed during those days.

That is why, when I think about the photograph taken back in 2018, I cannot completely separate it from the other things that were happening during that period of my life: the difficulty sleeping, the anxiety I felt at night, the UFO-related dreams, that urge to look out the window or go onto the balcony, and, later, the lights that I was able to observe, photograph, and record.

All of this happened within a relatively short period of time.

And that photograph remained there, as part of that experience.

A family photograph that, at the moment it was taken, seemed completely normal, but in which we later discovered that strange figure in the background.

To me, what appears there looks like an extraterrestrial being.
