Iv谩n Vega Recabal es comunicador audiovisual, director, productor, fot贸grafo, investigador y escritor chileno, con m谩s de dos d茅cadas de trayectoria vinculada a la producci贸n audiovisual, los espect谩culos, la fotograf铆a documental y el desarrollo de proyectos de comunicaci贸n y emprendimiento. Formado en Comunicaci贸n Audiovisual en DUOC UC, su carrera lo ha llevado a trabajar en Chile y el extranjero, participando en producciones y registros realizados en Europa, Am茅rica, Egipto, Isla de Pascua y la Ant谩rtica.
Entre sus experiencias destaca la cobertura fotogr谩fica de la hist贸rica presentaci贸n de Metallica en la Ant谩rtica en 2013, adem谩s de trabajos vinculados a festivales internacionales de cine, m煤sica, televisi贸n, patrimonio y grandes espect谩culos.
Durante su trayectoria tambi茅n ha ejercido como productor de conciertos internacionales, director de proyectos audiovisuales y docente universitario en Comunicaci贸n Audiovisual y Producci贸n de Eventos.
Esta experiencia profesional le permiti贸 desarrollar una mirada que combina investigaci贸n, producci贸n, narrativa audiovisual y documentaci贸n de terreno.
DEL AUDIOVISUAL A LA INVESTIGACI脫N
En los 煤ltimos a帽os, su trabajo se ha concentrado especialmente en la investigaci贸n y documentaci贸n del fen贸meno OVNI/UAP y de experiencias an贸malas de alta extra帽eza, abord谩ndolas desde una perspectiva multidisciplinaria y evitando establecer conclusiones all铆 donde la evidencia no permite hacerlo.
Es director y productor ejecutivo del documental Contacto de Otra Dimensi贸n y autor del libro hom贸nimo, investigaci贸n originada a partir de un incidente ocurrido en febrero de 2023 en la Cordillera de los Andes.
El proyecto reuni贸 testimonios, registros audiovisuales y el an谩lisis de profesionales provenientes de distintas disciplinas, convirti茅ndose posteriormente en el punto de partida de una investigaci贸n m谩s amplia sobre la relaci贸n entre percepci贸n, conciencia y fen贸menos an贸malos.
Paralelamente cre贸 Testimonio OVNI, iniciativa destinada a recopilar, documentar y comparar experiencias reportadas por personas de Chile y otros pa铆ses, construyendo progresivamente un archivo testimonial orientado a identificar patrones recurrentes dentro de la casu铆stica.
Su trabajo ha sido presentado y discutido en entrevistas, podcasts, programas de radio, encuentros ufol贸gicos, conferencias y medios especializados, participando como invitado y expositor en diferentes espacios de divulgaci贸n e investigaci贸n.
HIP脫TESIS ORBIT
Resultado de este proceso de investigaci贸n, Iv谩n Vega desarroll贸 la Hip贸tesis ORBIT — Observable Reality Bridging Interaction Theory, un modelo conceptual que propone desplazar una de las preguntas tradicionales de la ufolog铆a.
En lugar de concentrarse exclusivamente en:
“¿Qu茅 es el fen贸meno y de d贸nde proviene?”
ORBIT propone investigar:
“¿C贸mo se manifiesta y qu茅 ocurre durante su interacci贸n con el observador?”
La hip贸tesis estudia patrones presentes en experiencias de alta extra帽eza y propone conceptos como el entrelazamiento con la conciencia, Efecto Burbuja, microrealidad y humanizaci贸n de la experiencia, manteniendo abierta la discusi贸n sobre la naturaleza y el origen 煤ltimo del fen贸meno.
Actualmente, su trabajo se encuentra orientado a continuar recopilando testimonios, documentando casos, desarrollando proyectos audiovisuales y contrastando patrones que permitan construir nuevas herramientas para estudiar uno de los fen贸menos m谩s complejos y controvertidos de nuestra 茅poca.

Iv谩n Vega Recabal is a Chilean audiovisual communicator, director, producer, photographer, researcher, and writer with more than two decades of experience in audiovisual production, live entertainment, documentary photography, and the development of communication and entrepreneurial projects. Trained in Audiovisual Communication at DUOC UC, his career has taken him to work in Chile and abroad, participating in productions and documentary projects across Europe, the Americas, Egypt, Easter Island, and Antarctica.
Among his notable experiences is the photographic coverage of Metallica’s historic 2013 performance in Antarctica, as well as work connected to international film and music festivals, television, cultural heritage, and major live events.
Throughout his career, he has also worked as a producer of international concerts, a director of audiovisual projects, and a university lecturer in Audiovisual Communication and Event Production.
This professional experience has enabled him to develop an approach that combines research, production, audiovisual storytelling, and field documentation.
FROM AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION TO RESEARCH
In recent years, his work has focused particularly on the research and documentation of the UFO/UAP phenomenon and high-strangeness anomalous experiences, approaching them from a multidisciplinary perspective while avoiding conclusions where the available evidence does not support them.
He is the director and executive producer of the documentary Contacto de Otra Dimensi贸n (Contact from Another Dimension) and the author of the book of the same name. The investigation originated from an incident that occurred in February 2023 in the Andes Mountains.
The project brought together eyewitness testimony, audiovisual records, and analyses by professionals from different disciplines. It subsequently became the starting point for a broader investigation into the relationship between perception, consciousness, and anomalous phenomena.
In parallel, he created Testimonio OVNI (UFO Testimony), an initiative dedicated to collecting, documenting, and comparing experiences reported by people in Chile and other countries, progressively building a testimonial archive aimed at identifying recurring patterns within the body of reported cases.
His work has been presented and discussed in interviews, podcasts, radio programs, UFO research gatherings, conferences, and specialized media, where he has participated as both a guest and speaker in a variety of research and public-outreach settings.
THE ORBIT HYPOTHESIS
As a result of this research process, Iv谩n Vega developed the ORBIT Hypothesis — Observable Reality Bridging Interaction Theory, a conceptual model that proposes shifting one of the traditional questions in UFO/UAP research.
Rather than focusing exclusively on:
“What is the phenomenon, and where does it come from?”
ORBIT proposes investigating:
“How does it manifest, and what occurs during its interaction with the observer?”
The hypothesis examines patterns found in high-strangeness experiences and proposes concepts such as consciousness entanglement, the Bubble Effect, microreality, and the humanization of the experience, while leaving open the discussion regarding the ultimate nature and origin of the phenomenon.
His current work focuses on continuing to collect testimonies, document cases, develop audiovisual projects, and compare recurring patterns in order to build new tools for studying one of the most complex and controversial phenomena of our time.
