Y no eran pocas.
Aquello 煤ltimo me resultaba especialmente extra帽o.
As铆 comenzaron mis observaciones.
Aqu铆 ocurr铆a algo diferente. Aquellas figuras ten铆an una cabeza o zona superior muy luminosa, pero aun as铆 pod铆a observar el resto de sus cuerpos.
Eran dos.
Y ambas ten铆an la misma apariencia.
Descend铆an muy lentamente.
Recuerdo especialmente esa lentitud.
Pens茅:
Continu茅 mirando.
No quer铆a condicionarla.
Volvi贸 a mirar.
Despu茅s intent贸 describirme aquello que ten铆a delante.
—S铆.
Lo verdaderamente desconcertante todav铆a no hab铆a ocurrido.
Entonces me dijo:
—Pap谩, ahora son personas.
Aquella frase me dej贸 desconcertado.
Volv铆 inmediatamente al ocular.
Mir茅.
Y s铆.
Ahora parec铆an personas.
Primero parec铆an personas.
No vi nada.
Not茅 los golpes o empujones, pens茅 que all铆 estaba ocurriendo algo y despu茅s continu茅 durmiendo.
Hab铆a comido normalmente y me encontraba bien.
—Uy, me mare茅 —alcanc茅 a decir.
Permanec铆 all铆 aproximadamente tres minutos mientras aquella sensaci贸n comenzaba lentamente a disminuir.
Solo entonces pude incorporarme.
La gente comenz贸 a preguntarme si estaba bien y qu茅 me hab铆a sucedido.
La hab铆a visto permanecer all铆 durante bastante tiempo, incluso en d铆as muy fr铆os.
Mientras sufr铆 aquel v茅rtigo esa persona continu贸 all铆.
Yo no puedo afirmarlo.
Nunca hab铆a sufrido algo semejante y, desde aquel episodio, tampoco he vuelto a experimentarlo.
Se ve铆an claramente como personas. Llevaban pantalones cortos y luces frontales mientras bajaban.
Entonces ocurri贸 algo.
Pero ellos corr铆an.
Parec铆an estar huyendo.

Case: Pedro Orellana | The Humanoids Descending from the Mountain
Witness Name: Pedro Orellana
City and Country: La Florida, Santiago, Chile
Date of Incident: Between late June and early July 2025
Approximate Time: 9:00 p.m.
Number of Witnesses: 2 (Pedro Orellana and his daughter Natalia)
Location or Coordinates: Upper La Florida, Santiago, Chile, with a view toward the Santa Rosa hill and Panul Forest area, along the Andean foothills.
Investigation by Iv谩n Vega Recabal
Pedro Orellana has lived for approximately fifteen years in the upper part of La Florida, on the eastern side of Santiago, Chile, very close to the Andean foothills. From his home, he has an expansive view of the mountains, particularly the area around Santa Rosa hill and Panul Forest, a landscape that for years had simply been a familiar part of his everyday surroundings.
Between late June and early July 2025, that familiar landscape began to take on a different meaning for Pedro. What happened during those nights sparked his curiosity and led him to pay closer attention to a place he had previously looked upon without ever imagining that it would become the setting for an experience that would be difficult to forget.
Make yourself comfortable, because a new UFO testimony begins here.
It all began sometime between late June and early July 2025. I have lived for about fifteen years in the upper part of La Florida, on the eastern side of Santiago, very close to the Andean foothills. From where I live, I have a privileged view of the mountains, particularly the area around Santa Rosa hill and Panul Forest, one of the last surviving sclerophyll forests within Santiago.
Until then, despite having lived here for so many years, I had never paid much attention to what might be happening there at night. However, around that time, we began noticing something that caught my attention: lights were appearing in the mountains.
And there were quite a few of them.
Some moved along the slopes, others seemed to go up and down, and there were also lights moving sideways at a speed that, at least from our perspective, did not seem consistent with the normal movement of someone walking across the mountain. Sometimes two or three would gather at the same spot. At other times, they appeared to stop above the treetops and shine their light downward.
That last part struck me as particularly strange.
It is one thing to see the headlamp of someone hiking along a trail at night. We are familiar with that because hikers and athletes regularly use these mountains. It was something entirely different to see a light apparently positioned above the vegetation, shining downward.
And I was not the only person who had noticed this. Other people living in this area, and even neighbors farther south, had told me they had seen similar lights, moving in ways they also found difficult to associate with hikers.
That was how my observations began.
One night, while I was once again looking toward the mountain, several of those lights were scattered across the slopes. They were not necessarily near the summit; many appeared along the lower and middle sections. Some moved from one side to the other, and at times two or three seemed to come together.
The previous night, I had observed something particularly striking: some lights appeared to be positioned above the treetops. So when, one or two days later, I noticed activity in the same area again, I decided to pay much closer attention.
That was when I saw two lights slowly descending the mountain.
I have a fairly basic telescope, but at the distances involved from my house, it allows me to see details that would be impossible to distinguish with the naked eye. Sometimes I supplement my observations with the zoom on my cell phone, although that night I was neither recording nor looking through the phone. I was looking directly through the telescope's eyepiece.
I aimed it at those two lights.
At first, I had absolutely no doubt: they were people.
That was exactly what I thought.
I could see two figures descending the slope, and their appearance was consistent with hikers. They seemed to be carrying backpacks and wearing clothing appropriate for the cold. From my perspective, they were simply two warmly dressed people coming down the mountain.
That was precisely why I kept watching them.
I wanted to confirm what I was seeing because, during the previous days, we had witnessed movements and lights that were difficult to interpret. But this time, everything seemed much simpler: they were two people descending.
Until something changed.
As I kept them within the telescope's field of view, those two figures stopped looking like the people I had been observing.
What appeared before my eyes is difficult for me to explain even now.
The two figures looked extremely tall. Their bodies appeared strong, athletic, or muscular, and they seemed to be wearing something like a very tight-fitting suit, similar to a diving suit or wetsuit. Because of the darkness, I could not determine the color with certainty. It may have been gray, perhaps greenish, but it would be irresponsible for me to claim a specific color because the nighttime conditions made it impossible to distinguish clearly.
What stood out most were their heads.
They looked large and rounded, as though they were wearing some kind of white or luminous helmet.
And I could make out their bodies.
That detail was important to me because I know what a person looks like when descending at night with a headlamp. Normally, the light points forward and, depending on the distance and angle, the person's body can be difficult to distinguish. This was different. Those figures had a very bright head or upper area, yet I could still see the rest of their bodies.
There were two of them.
And both looked the same.
They were descending very slowly.
I particularly remember how slowly they moved. They did not seem to move like two hikers normally descending a slope. Their movements were deliberate and conveyed a sense of heaviness. Through the telescope, they appeared very large to me, much bulkier than they had initially seemed.
My first association was inevitable: they resembled those depictions of tall humanoid beings one sometimes sees in movies or images related to extraterrestrials.
But seeing such representations was one thing. Finding myself observing something similar through my own telescope was something entirely different.
I thought:
“Something strange is going on here. Something is happening.”
The situation also began to connect in my mind with the lights I had seen above the treetops the night before.
It must have been around nine o'clock at night. The sky was clear, there was no visible Moon, and it was quite dark.
I kept watching.
I did not want to take my eye away from the telescope because I needed to understand what I was looking at. However, I also realized that I needed someone else to see it.
My family lives right across from me, so I called and asked someone to come over. My daughter Natalia arrived quickly.
At that moment, I made a decision that was important to me: I would not tell her what I was seeing.
I did not want to influence her.
I could have told her I was observing something strange or even used the word “extraterrestrial,” but doing so would have planted an idea in her mind before she looked. I preferred simply to point her toward the telescope.
“Look at what's up there,” I told her.
Natalia leaned toward the eyepiece and began observing.
I stood beside her and waited.
She looked for a few moments, paying close attention, and finally pulled her face away from the telescope. She was surprised.
“Dad, that's not human,” she told me. “Those aren't people. They're something else.”
Her reaction had a strong impact on me because I had not told her beforehand what I was seeing.
She looked again.
Then she tried to describe what she was seeing.
“Dad, they're tall people… They're like extraterrestrials. They're like the ones you see in movies.”
I needed to make sure she was actually seeing the same thing I was.
“Can you see it? Do you realize what's up there?”
“Yes. Yes, I can see it.”
For approximately five minutes, we took turns looking at those two figures as they continued slowly descending the mountain.
We both saw something similar: tall, bulky-looking figures with some kind of luminous head or helmet and what appeared to be a tight-fitting suit. Again, I cannot say whether the suit was gray or greenish. The darkness made it impossible to determine the color accurately.
But the most bewildering part had not yet happened.
At one point, Natalia looked through the telescope again.
Then she said:
“Dad, now they're people.”
Her words left me bewildered.
I immediately returned to the eyepiece.
I looked.
And yes.
Now they looked like people.
The same figures that I had initially identified as two hikers, which we had both subsequently observed with that strange appearance, now once again looked like human beings descending the mountain.
My daughter went back home to tell my wife what we had just witnessed. She left trembling. The experience had affected her because this was not simply a matter of seeing a distant light. She had observed those figures with me and had witnessed the same apparent transformation that I had.
First they looked like people.
Then they stopped looking like people.
And finally, they looked like people again.
To this day, I cannot explain what happened.
I can describe what we observed, but I cannot say what those figures were.
What I can say is that, after that night, we continued observing strange situations in those same mountains. We have seen lights, orbs, and people descending. On some occasions, we have also observed people who appear to flee or run after something appears near them.
Over time, I have learned to recognize fairly well what a hiker looks like from a distance. When there is a person on the mountain, we can normally distinguish them. We see their light, their movements and, depending on the conditions, even parts of their body. That is why certain observations attract my attention so strongly: some lights behave in ways that do not match what we normally see when a person is moving through the mountains.
Before all of this began, my involvement with the UFO phenomenon was practically nonexistent.
I had never studied ufology or seriously investigated these subjects. Thinking back, I do remember a few experiences from my childhood. On one occasion, I saw triangular-looking lights, and I also remember seeing objects that looked like some kind of Moon moving across the horizon around sunset, at approximately seven thirty in the evening. On other occasions, I saw lights crossing the sky.
But I never did anything with those experiences.
I never thought, “I'm going to investigate this.”
I never followed up on them or tried to turn them into a personal pursuit. They were simply strange things I had seen that, over time, remained stored away in my memory.
That changed once these observations began in La Florida.
After so many years of living across from these mountains, discovering that such strange phenomena might be occurring practically in front of my house made me start paying attention.
And when you start looking, something changes.
A difficult-to-explain need develops. You want to observe again, to search, to see whether it will appear again. Sometimes I am sitting at my desk and suddenly feel the urge to go outside and look toward the mountain, almost like an intuition telling me:
“Go outside. Look. Maybe there's something there.”
It has happened to me several times.
After those first experiences, some of my dreams also began to change. I have had nightmares and, on a couple of occasions during the early morning hours, I clearly felt something touch or push me in the back twice in succession.
I saw nothing.
So I cannot say what caused that sensation.
The strange thing is that I was not afraid. I felt the blows or pushes, thought that something was happening there, and then went back to sleep.
I do not want to automatically attribute those experiences to what we have observed in the mountains.
I can only say that they began occurring during the same period.
Months later, I experienced another episode that I still find difficult to interpret.
That afternoon, I had been livestreaming for approximately an hour and a half while we observed the mountains. We had been following various lights and objects that seemed to descend the slopes, along with some strange lights toward the area around Cerro de la Cruz.
We were just about to end the livestream.
Since my location provides a good view of Santiago, I decided to turn the equipment around and show the city.
It was approximately seven or seven thirty in the evening. I had eaten normally and felt fine.
I turned around, aimed the lens toward the city, and looked.
Immediately, I felt that something was wrong.
“Oh, I'm getting dizzy,” I managed to say.
Within seconds, everything began spinning.
The lights were swirling in front of me. My entire surroundings seemed to spin over and over again. It was an extremely intense case of vertigo, unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
Because I was still livestreaming, the people watching could hear me.
“I feel really sick. Everything is spinning.”
I could no longer remain standing.
I had to lie down on the grass.
I remained there for approximately three minutes as the sensation slowly began to subside. I remember that the spinning did not stop suddenly. Everything seemed to continue rotating, but increasingly slowly, as though it were gradually losing speed, until it finally stopped.
Only then was I able to get back up.
I apologized to those following the livestream and explained that I had experienced an extremely severe bout of dizziness. People began asking whether I was all right and what had happened to me.
But there was another element that made the episode even stranger.
About five meters away from where I was standing, there was a person lying beneath a tree. I had seen this person remain there for long periods of time, even on very cold days.
While I was experiencing the vertigo, that person remained there.
However, once I recovered and stood up, the person got up and walked away.
That was all.
They simply got up and left.
Some of the people watching the livestream then began asking whether I had managed to see the person's face, whether there was anything unusual about them, or even whether they might have been something other than a person.
Later, I spoke with people who interpreted what had happened as my passing through an area of “very high frequency” or even as a kind of “energetic attack.”
That was their interpretation.
I cannot say that was what happened.
The only thing I can say with certainty is what happened to me physically: I experienced a sudden and extremely intense episode of vertigo that lasted a few minutes and then disappeared. I had never experienced anything like it before and, since that episode, it has never happened again.
There was also another observation that I consider particularly important because it was recorded during a livestream.
On that occasion, I was observing two people descending the mountain.
They were clearly visible as people. They were wearing shorts and headlamps as they made their way down.
Then something happened.
To their right, a third figure appeared.
The difference in size was obvious.
That figure appeared to be approximately twice the size of the other two people. It had no light, and yet I could distinguish its silhouette. Strangely, it even seemed to be wearing something resembling shorts.
The figure moved closer to them.
And then the two people began running down the mountain.
That immediately caught my attention because I know that terrain. Climbing there during the day already requires considerable effort; running downhill at night is considerably more difficult and dangerous.
But they were running.
They appeared to be fleeing.
And behind them, the figure continued moving.
I followed everything through the telescope while the people connected to the livestream were also watching the footage.
The first two figures were clearly people. I had no doubt about that. But the third one was different: much larger and without any kind of illumination as it descended behind them.
I cannot say that it was actually chasing them.
What I observed was that the figure appeared near them and, afterward, the two people began running while it continued behind them.
Over time, I have read various interpretations of this type of phenomenon, including accounts suggesting that certain entities supposedly have the ability to imitate human appearance.
I do not know whether that is what we observed.
It is a possibility I learned about afterward, and one that I inevitably associate with that first experience, when two figures that initially appeared to be hikers changed before our eyes and then later looked like people again.
But an interpretation is one thing, and what we actually saw is another.
That is why I try to maintain that distinction.
Nearly a year has passed since that experience, and to this day, I still wonder what it was that we really saw.
